Training Comany: Separated two companies away from the corporate group and created a new IT organisation to support the new company. Designed a new business strategy that was ratified by the new board and the board of the venture capital company that owned the organisation. This ambitious strategy would revolutionise the key business processes by implementing an Electronic Portfolio for the on-line collection of client data and the Electronic Signup of clients ensuring data entry at point of capture. This will result in a significant reduction in operational costs; it has repositioned this company as the innovation leader within it's marketplace and the new business model is attracting new clients. This was a 6 months board level appointment that was extended to 2 years.
Hotel Group: IT director for European Hotel group experiencing extreme growth and requiring urgent assistance replacing their online reservation systems.
HR Company: Analysed, recommend, and then introduced a new IT system for this London based HR consultancy and recruited a new IT department from scratch.
Film Company: To bring together various specialist, but underperforming IT functions. To implement best practice and management control procedures and create a new, ambitious and cohesive IT Division. Also to devise an IT strategy in balance with the existing business strategy to provide a technical architecture capable of delivering digital content, easily and efficiently, to all people within the UK.
Consulting Company: Interim Managing Partner responsible for negotiating and maintaining contracts with government Enterprise Agencies and to manage the strategic consulting practice. 12 Month Assignment
Local Government: The council required urgent assistance to protect the Technology College status of one of its failing colleges and the £1M+ in government grants this privilege gave. The assignment was also to represent the council on the multi-million pound `Schools of the Future” rebuild project and lead the IT strategy development.
Offshore Banking: This was a strategic appointment to re-organise the existing IT function in order to enable an international bank to steer through upcoming major industry changes and design an agreed IT strategy for the consolidation and migration of 5+ major banks in the Group away from its legacy systems to new platforms and develop future e-channels to market.
