Web Design Franchise
There is a social revolution happening here in the UK. You only need to read the daily newspapers or watch the television in the evening to see programmes about people moving to the countryside, buying holiday homes abroad, emigrating overseas to start new lives or starting small business' based from home. Just a few of the programmes currently on air are “Location, Location, Location”, “I want that House”, “A Place in the Sun”, “No going Back” and “Get a new Life”. The front page of the Daily Express recently carried the lead story that one third of professional adults in the UK are considering emigrating to sunny climates overseas.
A consequence of this social change is that there are a lot more people out there who need a website in order to rent out their holiday home when they are not using it. More and more people are investing in holiday homes rather than the less than reliable pension market. They see a property as not only a capital investment as property prices increase, but also a source of regular income when it is rented out. This growing group of people are in need of services to help them market these properties, in particular they are looking for affordable websites.
Although some of the people who are starting their new life overseas are retiring, the majority are starting a new business. Bed and Breakfast's (Gites in France), Self catering apartments, restaurants, building companies, the list is endless and growing. All these people need a website, designed in English to attract the English people living or holidaying to their area.
These people are our target groups.
Why run my own Web Design Company ?
It provides a good income (as long as you put the effort in), its something we can train anyone to do successfully as long as you have a computer, and you can run your company based from home, whether your home is in the UK, overseas, or you spend time in different locations.
This is primarily a home-based business, wherever your home may be. So one of it's big advantages is the lifestyle that it offers. You can decide to put in as much effort as you like, managing your own life/work balance, rather than having someone dictate that balance for you. If you live abroad or want to spend more time at your home in the country rather than in the city then this business allows you to pick up your laptop and work from anywhere.
However, running this type of business is not an instant “get rich quick scheme”, it is a traditional “a good days pay for a good days work”. However the rates of pay are excellent, particularly the more experienced you get. A typical project can take approximately 2 days of your time, for which you might expect around £1000 gross. Some will take slightly longer or shorter and will generate more or less revenue, but £1000 for a two day project, in our experience, is a good average. So for an example of a leisurely lifestyle having 4 projects a month, generating approximately £4000 gross revenue is a good example, which leaves five days a week to sit by the pool, do the gardening or play with the children. It's the move away from a five day working week and two day weekend to a two day working week and five day weekend that is the real benefit of this type of business.
One of the questions we are normally asked is “What qualifications or computer skills do I need ?”
In terms of qualifications, none are needed although at the end of our training course you will have a Diploma in Web Design presented by Consulting Network Ltd. In terms of computer skill requirements, then you will need to have at least basic word processing skills. If you have used something like Microsoft Word or Lotus WordPro to write a letter in the past then we are confident that we can train you what you need to know. Its not difficult if someone shows you how. We find that someone `showing you' is a lot different then being one of many attending a training course.
What Do I Need & What do Consulting Network Offer ?
You will be shown how to design websites using your computer. You will be trained what you clients are looking for and how to design a website that meets those needs. You will be shown how to run your business, what information to retain, how to attract customers. You will have software installed on your computer and you will be given access to additional services to sell to your clients, like e-mail, web addresses and web space. You will be given support when you first launch your business and your hand held through your first projects and perhaps some ongoing support so you don't feel on your own.
Consulting Network packages these services into the business start-up package which costs £5000 inclusive. That's it, no hidden costs. You will then have your own business and off you go.
